Yesterday as I walked into the class we asked Mr Hutching’s, who would be our teacher for the day. He said “I haven't been told” and then Mr Umu walked into our class and said “ he was going to be our teacher for the day” and then everyone started to say “yeah”.

Then as the bell rang we sat on the mat waiting for Mr Umu to come and start the day, as he was coming in he said “well done perfect” and we just sat up quietly. Then he started to ask us questions from the other time he taught us and we answered them without working it out, then he asked us why did one of us remember and so we replied and then we all said “he comprehended what you had taught us”.

After he started to tell us about his family then he would point at us to answer it and then he would have said “why did she or he remember it” and then we would have said “because she or he was comprehending”. He told us he had four kids and a lovely wife, and after he would say stories about them. Later we all went to our desks group by group and then as we went to our desk he said “take your books and pens or pencils for a test.

Mr Umu would be walking around saying out the questions and when me and the person next to me, we would both cover our answers and then move onto the next question. Finally mr Umu moves onto the raps which is why I like him, he has mean as raps which by mean i mean cool raps.We finally get back to finishing our comprehension and then we learn a another rap. At the end of the day we all sang Mr Umu a birthday song because it is his birthday on friday.

Story behind the Samoan flag.

Did you know that the five stars represent the moon light, but there are actually seven islands in Samoa.

The blue in the flag means water and also hope.

The redness also means land and last of all blood.

Writing T3W7.

This Monday was 12Th of September and as usual the year 7&8’s always go to Tamaki College, for tamaki tech which is awesome. At first when the bell rang for the tamaki college kids had finished there class time, it was our turn to go to class and take a seat as what the teacher has told us. Next the teacher told us to stop and look at him, he tells us something to what were suppose to do. Later we take our 5 minute break and have a drink and have a play in front of our class, after we came back to class and then took a seat so we knew what we had to do.
Afterwards I had finished my project I asked the teacher if I could finish someone Else's work and the teacher said “yes you can”, so I did and I also finished that by the time but I didn’t have time because the teacher had told us to pack everything up and get ready to go. Finally it was time to go back to school, but first I wanted to see my friends. I saw on of my friends and then ran to them and gave them a shock, we started to walk and then when miss Tito turned around to see if we were all together.
We got to school and then we had to go into the class room because the teachers were doing dictation, so I just went into the class room and I sat at my desk quietly and just waited till the bell rang so I could go and see my friends.
After the day was nearly over I had thought what I ha done today and I realised that I had a awesome day.

Writing T3W6

Today is Friday September the 9Th and it is the start of the rugby world cup, I am so excited to see who wins. GO THE ALL BLACKS, seeing people go for Tonga is happy but when people say which team is better, which makes lots of fights.
When I get home tonight I don’t know which one to watch NRL or the start of RWC. I love rugby and I also like rugby league because the warriors are playing and the all blacks are also playing too. Man once I got home I was full of excitement because I couldn’t wait till it came on T.V.
Watching the All Blacks vs Tonga always shouting out yea go go go woo hoo yeahhhh so happy when the all blacks get a try and also when Sonny Bill Williams t-shirt got ripped the host said “ all the girls would have liked that. Yeah right I say to the television, now it is full time and the all blacks have won and I am feeling so proud because New Zealand won against Tonga.
Now I am just watching the high lights of the game and seeing lots of Tongan supporters and lots of New Zealand supporters also winning the first rugby world cup!!! AWESOME NEW ZEALAND.... New Zealand all the way for pool A.

Badminton with a pro.

Every Friday like always we have have been doing badminton with a professional badminton player, she has been teaching us a lot of what the other pros do, which is difficult.
Even though it may look easy to you when it comes to do it, let me tell you it is so hard I don’t think three weeks is enough practice.
When we got to the hall the teacher told us to sit on the floor and then after we sat down she told us to listen because we are going to do a task. She told the girls first to grab a rackets and then grab a shuttle. Afterwards we started doing the trick shot that she does and then she told us to try that as well, we saw how many times we could hit the shuttle into the air.
Later when Lauren said "shuttles" (that meant we have to hold our shuttles than move to where we could see her and watch what she does). we had to practise stopping and listening. Lauren told us to grab a buddy and hit the shuttle back and forth to each other and see how many time we could hit it. After when she said "shuttle"she told us to see if we could hit the shuttle three times and then hit it under our legs then hit it three times again and hit it around our waist.
Finally it got to my favourite part where she said to split up into half the court and we hit the shuttle back and forth to each other. We only hit it once and then we had to run to the back of the line. If you missed it you would have to put your racket down on the floor but it had to be in the center of the room. When it was time we had to get five shuttles and we had to get it in the rubbish bin. Afterwards we paired up in a circle and saw who could get the most of their shuttles in the rubbish bin.
Now that I’ve had the experience with a pro to play badminton it has been great playing and also being with all my class mates. Would you like to play if you went to Pt England school?
