My Reflection Writing.

Somethings I have liked about my netbook? It’s made it much easier to write with instead of using pencil and paper. It helps you most of the time.Everyday we get 25 minutes on math whizz. When you don’t know how to spell a word the tools are already there for you to use. It is easier to use your netbook because you can look for all sorts of information.Having your netbook is awesome because you can be creative with your work.My little laptop is quite cool because it is part of your learning. When you type it is easier.Somethings I didn't like about having my netbook?Sometimes the Internet would work and then it would say it is having problems.
Often it would say connection has timed out please try again later .
Another thing is that sometimes when you would like to use a site you would have to check if it was safe for you to use.Lastly when I dragged something to another tab it went on my panel, and when I went to delete it I deleted my panel by accident. This year I have really enjoyed having a Netbook to work on because it is easier to write on a key pad than pencil and paper.Another thing is that if you had a assignment your netbook would be there for you to use. There are many reasons why I love to use my netbook because it is helpful.

Furthermore having a Netbook has meant that it takes responsibility.
Most definitely the best thing having my netbook is because it is better than having to use paper and pencil.
As much as I have loved having a Netbook there are some things that I haven’t liked example the internet would have said “connection has timed out”. Then it would just close the Internetand I would have to start again. Another thing is that sometimes the name of the network wouldn’t show it’s name.
The biggest improvement on my netbook is that I can actually look up vocabulary

so I will be avail to grow to a new level. Also another thing is that we have got this site and it is called math whizz, and do you know what? it’s an awesome site. Having my laptop has been awesome because it’s made it easier to work with like instead of using pencil and paper you can use this piece of technoligy, now that it is the end of the year I’m going to take it home for the Christmas holiday. The hardest thing for me is when we have a assignment set for us to do it

The hardest thing for me is when we have an assignment set for us to do it is so hard for myself to stay on task.was hard to move the key pad around. The greatest challenge for me on my little netbook is to stay on task. From time to time most of us go on sites were not surpose to, like games most likely. Most of the time I love playing on math whizz. I think I wouldn’t like that because if you have an idea and it takes a long time to write it will make your fingers sore but when you are typing it makes it so much easier for you and your hands as well.It would be cool `if you could play game or even listen to music when you have completed all your tasks that were set out for you. If the Netbook Scheme failed and we had to go back to pencil and paper I wouldn't like that.

The hardest thing for me is when we have a assignment set for us to do it was hard to move the key pad around.

My Writing at Tech.

Every morning on Mondays all the yr 7 and 8 kids go to Tamaki College for Tamaki Tech. It is very enjoyable in my group because it is science.
When we had got there we had actually ran to our class to see what we were going to do today. Sadly he wasn't there and there was a new teacher who was replacing Mr. Dewan. At first when the door wasn't open, then everyone came running out and started to say we are in cooking. Most of us was excited because how we all like to cook.

After Mrs Bunce told us to come in and crab a seat, then she told us what we were going to do. A little bit later she told another teacher to come and supervise us while she had to go to another class. Then since Chelsea and Chanel also myself were in a group of three, Me and Chelsea were getting the equipment that we had actually needed, so we could make water boil.

Finally it comes to the time we are about to start, I try to light the match but the stick keeps on braking. So I just give it to Chanel to light the Bunsen burner. Then you have the light over the bunsen burner then when you open the hole it will turn colour into blue. Yeah nearly done, you just have to wait till the water boils.

We came back to school and you would have to wait till it was morning tea time. Another thing is that I really enjoy Tech because it is interesting.

My planet writing with some planet pictures.

Term 4 we are learning about the solar system, let me tell you the planets in order. Mercury is the closest to the sun because One half of Mercury is the innermost planet in our solar system. Mercury is the closest planet to the sun. As such, it circles the sun faster than all the other planets, which is why Romans named it after the swift-footed messenger god Mercury.
Mercury was known since at least Sumerian times roughly 5,000 years ago, where it was often associated with Nabu, the god of writing. Mercury was also given separate names for its appearance as both a morning star and as an evening star. Greek astronomers knew, however, that the two names referred to the same body. Heraclitus believed that both Mercury and

Venus orbited the Sun, not the Earth. Venus is the second closest planet to the sun. Viewed from earth it is the brightest of the planets. In fact if you know where to look it is possible to see it in broad daylight. At night it is bright enough to cast shadows. It's brightness is due to two things. Firstly it is quite close to earth compared to the other planets. Secondly it is highly reflective and a lot of sunlight bounces off the planet.

Earth, our home planet, is the only planet in our solar system known to harbor life. All of the things we need to survive are provided under a thin layer of atmosphere that separates us from the uninhabitable void of space. Earth is made up of complex, interactive systems that are often unpredictable. Air, water, land, and life—including humans—combine forces to create a constantly changing world that we are striving to understand.Lastly Saturn is one of my favourite planets because I like the colour and also I like the rings because it is made out of ice rocks and also dust.

Viewing Earth from the unique perspective of space provides the opportunity to see Earth as a whole. Scientists around the world have discovered many things about our planet by working together and sharing their findings. Some facts are well known. For instance, Earth is the third planet from the sun and the fifth largest in the solar system. Earth's diameter is just a few hundred kilometers larger than that of Venus.

The four seasons are a result of Earth's axis of rotation being tilted more than 23 degrees.

My Tennis Writing.

TENNIS!!! It’s so much fun. All of the classes have had a lesson with an awesome instructor who has come to teach Pt England school Tennis. When Room 18 got the chance for the first time this year. There was a lot of excitement I because tennis is one of my favorite sports. When we had gotten to the court we had to wait for the other class to go, finally it’s our turn to have our lesson.

When I was waiting in the line I was thinking what would be the first thing he would say to us, We all grabbed a tennis racket and a tennis ball. We were all waiting for the coach to tell us, what the first thing we could do.Then when everyone had got a tennis racket we all lined up, girls on one side and the boys on the other side, then he started to teach us some skills and some things we can do and somethings we can’t do. Then he did something impressive and after he asked us to see if we could do it.

Afterwards he had said to us “if you can do more than ten we were awesome”, then we were all challenging our self to see if we were awesome but some of us just got up to nine.Later, the instructor taught us a game called King of the courts. We would be in a group of eight and we would all be lined up on one side of the tennis net.

Our tennis couch taught us how to play first andthen we could try the next round, we all had one round of playing the game and then our coach joinedinto our group. At the end of the lesson I felt so tired and also it was an amazing experience, to have a chance playing tennis.

Lastly I think that tennis is an enjoyable game to play.

My Very Exciting Holiday!!!!

During the start of the holiday’s I actually thought that it was going to be horrible because I stayed home for one or two day’s. I wanted to do something because there was nothing good on that I wanted to watch.

Then when my dad came home from work, he told me to put my nephews in the car and buckle them up. After as we were leaving we thought we heard something ring, them I asked my dad is that his phone. He said “yes it is my phone” since my dad was driving I had to answer it for him, it was my sister and she said to me what to tell our dad. She said “I’m going to pick the kids up even Dakota” i said to her “Yeah” I can’t wait but the she said “ were going to see Lion King 3-D”.

The next day when my sister Daphne came around but my brother came around first. she said if “ she could use the phone first”, I put my little nephew Jericho into his car seat. Then Jericho’s door swung open and then the car started to go slow and then we stopped at a gas station on Taniwha st. Then my other brother came and then he tried to help, then we saw Reg go past and he looked angry. We all knew that his girlfriend had done something, so we called her and she told us what happened. We all meet up at my sister inlaw’s house.

Later we knew if we had made it to Sylvia park we wouldn’t make it back, so we all walked down to G.I and on the way most of us saw some people that we knew, then we went to the train station to go down town. Finally our train is here my niece Mc,Kenzie couldn't wait till we got on the train. After we ordered our ticket we were heading down town to catch the fairy to go to Devan port, my little niece was amazed by the big blue water because she loves the water, a lot.

“Yes” we all shout we were there, I couldn’t wait because I was feeling disey so was my friend that came along. When we had stopped well that's what we were all thinking and when we were walking in side most of us fell over, but when they fell on the ground I landed on the chair and was laughing at them.

At the end of the day I was really excited because I really missed my little favourite niece.

T3W9 Writing.

During my cool weekend, well let me start from Friday after school. When I got home straight away, my mum said “to get dressed because we are going to my aunties house for her birthday. Then when the party had started at my aunties house, when we went inside with my little cousin, then as he kept on following us, even if we went outside. To see if we could have some of the snacks.

Then my mum had said to me “ we are going home now” and I actually wanted to stay there for the night, but it was my nephews birthday and I didn’t wont to miss it. By the way it was his 5Th birthday and I had asked if I could help with the decorations and the cake, but he didn’t reply so I did it any way.

When I got home in the morning I was the first up because it was 7:30 in the morning. My sister came over with the birthday boy and he couldn’t see the cake and the balloons and also he own warriors balloon. Since he was the Warriors number one fan we thought that the theme would be the mighty Warriors.

At the end of the day I felt so tired but also I had missed him so much, and I wanted to hug him all day but he wanted to see what was in his goodiebag.

T3W8 Writing.

Yesterday as I walked into the class we asked Mr Hutching’s, who would be our teacher for the day. He said “I haven't been told” and then Mr Umu walked into our class and said “ he was going to be our teacher for the day” and then everyone started to say “yeah”.

Then as the bell rang we sat on the mat waiting for Mr Umu to come and start the day, as he was coming in he said “well done perfect” and we just sat up quietly. Then he started to ask us questions from the other time he taught us and we answered them without working it out, then he asked us why did one of us remember and so we replied and then we all said “he comprehended what you had taught us”.

After he started to tell us about his family then he would point at us to answer it and then he would have said “why did she or he remember it” and then we would have said “because she or he was comprehending”. He told us he had four kids and a lovely wife, and after he would say stories about them. Later we all went to our desks group by group and then as we went to our desk he said “take your books and pens or pencils for a test.

Mr Umu would be walking around saying out the questions and when me and the person next to me, we would both cover our answers and then move onto the next question. Finally mr Umu moves onto the raps which is why I like him, he has mean as raps which by mean i mean cool raps.We finally get back to finishing our comprehension and then we learn a another rap. At the end of the day we all sang Mr Umu a birthday song because it is his birthday on friday.

Writing T3W7.

This Monday was 12Th of September and as usual the year 7&8’s always go to Tamaki College, for tamaki tech which is awesome. At first when the bell rang for the tamaki college kids had finished there class time, it was our turn to go to class and take a seat as what the teacher has told us. Next the teacher told us to stop and look at him, he tells us something to what were suppose to do. Later we take our 5 minute break and have a drink and have a play in front of our class, after we came back to class and then took a seat so we knew what we had to do.
Afterwards I had finished my project I asked the teacher if I could finish someone Else's work and the teacher said “yes you can”, so I did and I also finished that by the time but I didn’t have time because the teacher had told us to pack everything up and get ready to go. Finally it was time to go back to school, but first I wanted to see my friends. I saw on of my friends and then ran to them and gave them a shock, we started to walk and then when miss Tito turned around to see if we were all together.
We got to school and then we had to go into the class room because the teachers were doing dictation, so I just went into the class room and I sat at my desk quietly and just waited till the bell rang so I could go and see my friends.
After the day was nearly over I had thought what I ha done today and I realised that I had a awesome day.

Writing T3W6

Today is Friday September the 9Th and it is the start of the rugby world cup, I am so excited to see who wins. GO THE ALL BLACKS, seeing people go for Tonga is happy but when people say which team is better, which makes lots of fights.
When I get home tonight I don’t know which one to watch NRL or the start of RWC. I love rugby and I also like rugby league because the warriors are playing and the all blacks are also playing too. Man once I got home I was full of excitement because I couldn’t wait till it came on T.V.
Watching the All Blacks vs Tonga always shouting out yea go go go woo hoo yeahhhh so happy when the all blacks get a try and also when Sonny Bill Williams t-shirt got ripped the host said “ all the girls would have liked that. Yeah right I say to the television, now it is full time and the all blacks have won and I am feeling so proud because New Zealand won against Tonga.
Now I am just watching the high lights of the game and seeing lots of Tongan supporters and lots of New Zealand supporters also winning the first rugby world cup!!! AWESOME NEW ZEALAND.... New Zealand all the way for pool A.

Badminton with a pro.

Every Friday like always we have have been doing badminton with a professional badminton player, she has been teaching us a lot of what the other pros do, which is difficult.
Even though it may look easy to you when it comes to do it, let me tell you it is so hard I don’t think three weeks is enough practice.
When we got to the hall the teacher told us to sit on the floor and then after we sat down she told us to listen because we are going to do a task. She told the girls first to grab a rackets and then grab a shuttle. Afterwards we started doing the trick shot that she does and then she told us to try that as well, we saw how many times we could hit the shuttle into the air.
Later when Lauren said "shuttles" (that meant we have to hold our shuttles than move to where we could see her and watch what she does). we had to practise stopping and listening. Lauren told us to grab a buddy and hit the shuttle back and forth to each other and see how many time we could hit it. After when she said "shuttle"she told us to see if we could hit the shuttle three times and then hit it under our legs then hit it three times again and hit it around our waist.
Finally it got to my favourite part where she said to split up into half the court and we hit the shuttle back and forth to each other. We only hit it once and then we had to run to the back of the line. If you missed it you would have to put your racket down on the floor but it had to be in the center of the room. When it was time we had to get five shuttles and we had to get it in the rubbish bin. Afterwards we paired up in a circle and saw who could get the most of their shuttles in the rubbish bin.
Now that I’ve had the experience with a pro to play badminton it has been great playing and also being with all my class mates. Would you like to play if you went to Pt England school?

T3W5 Writing.

On Monday morning all the year 7’s and also 8’s went to Tamaki College for tamaki tech that the teachers there teach us about what year 9,10,11,12,13 and up do with them. I think that it is a great experience because when its time for our turn we will know most of what we do.
When we line up in our groups, the teachers will tell us to stand and then we are off to tamaki collage. Afterwards when we walked into the class room the teacher asked us did we finish the assignments from last week? then we all said yes back to him. Later we started talking about a new assignment and we could just add a little speaker to our old assignment an the it is a burgerler alarm.
Next it was time to start cleaning up the mess we had made and then we had to take a seat, after we were dismise to go back to the main gate and line up. Then everyone just started talking, it was like we were in college but diffrent uniforms on. I saw some of my friends that go there and we started to laugh and talk then my other friends but they went to pt england just like me.
Later when we had came back from tech it was morning tea and I just grabed my morning tea and ran outside, I was so quick that I was the last in and first out isn't that fast. Thats because I wanted to hang out with my friends. We all started to walk around the school and started to talk to each other about what had happened over the weekend. Then the morning tea bell rang and then we all started moaning and the teacher must of heard us and she said " you guys should say yay".
That afternoon my friends and I walked home together an I was the only person left to walk home.

T3W3 writing.

On Saturday we had to go out to kaipara to get some fruit tree and it was a long way to drive. When we got half way there and my two nephews were dosing off to sleep.
Afterwards when we had arrived at the store we asked the man were the fruit trees were. Then we started to look around the entire store.
Later we were on our way back to Glen Innes to do our shopping and on the way we see a sign that said “Tomatoes that only cost two dollars”. So we stopped and then carried on to going to G.I, then when we got back my mum and my two nephews also myself included. We had entered the sliding doors we got a trolley and we had gotten all the grocery's.
Next we called my dad to pick us up from packin’n’save and when we waited outside, then my dad had arrived and then we packed all the shopping into the back of the car.
At the end of the day Jackson and Julius and my mum jumped into the car and then we came home and my mum said “pack the shopping away then you can do your thing, so I packed the shopping and then went to lye down and I fell off to sleep.

T3W2 writing.

This morning as usual the yr 7&8’s went to Tamaki Collage for tech and we waited in the corridor and heard that it was parent interview and we all thought that tech was cancelled and we were all upset because tech is so fun. So we all came back and did our work for literacy, then the yr 6 came back and we were all moaning because it started getting noisy and the yr 7’s were saying to be quiet and they didn’t listen. We got to choose what we could do first for our literacy, my group went to talk to my teacher how far to go for our assignments. So I started out with doing my flags linked on hyper studio, then the group that went on the imacs had to work on all the projects we had started. Some of us got called to Mr Barks to see all the assignments we had finished and I actually felt embarrassed because I only completed one. Then the year 6’s came back they started making lots of noise and we tried to make them be quiet but the weren’t till they were on their net book and were confused because we were all there. It was fun coming back early because we got to play on our net books,as we were doing our work I was working on my all blacks pass port, then the year 6’s came back and made Lot's of noise and was looking at us like why are they back so early so we told them and they were moaning. They were looking at us why we were back so early and even in clahome I got changed and watched a little T.V. then did all of before they were on the net books. I started to laugh and then we had a little talk then carried on with our work, the yr 6 got called back to see how far they had to go for their assignments. Then the morning tea bell rang and we were dismissed to eat our morning tea and then we could hang out with our friends, my friends and I walked around the school and then the bell for class rang and we were so tired when we layed on the grass we didn’t feel like getting up, but we had to because people kept on throwing their rugby ball at our stomach. I had a great afternoon which was awesome and when I got my duty's done then went outside to play with my friends fun isn’t it.

Every morning all the year 7 and 8’s go to Tamaki College to do electronics. At first we started walking and talking to all of our friends, like always because we didn’t see our friends for two days.
The next day was Tuesday and first we did literacy, then the morning tea bell rang and I ran to the other senior classes to see my friends and then we started to walk around the school.
On Wednesday when we came to the class Mr Barks said “grab your net book and go on to math whizz and had to go and play on replay and I was trying to see if I could get more credits to come second or even first.
Thursday after school my friend Jane and I walked home together and then when I got on my computer. Then when I started to do my work I saw someone else.
Friday morning we started off with literacy as usual. Then we only had thirty minutes to do our work and then the morning tea bell rang and then I ran outside and went over to the street for my friend.

My fabulous holidays

My fabulous holidays.
During the Easter holidays I wanted to stay at my sisters house,so I could hang out with my cousin. My dad said "no", it was boring because we only did our shopping, so I played my xbox 360when everyone said "give us a turn" so I said "get your own xbox 360". I couldn't wait till tomorrow because it was my birthday, since it was my birthday I got to choose what we could do first. I decided to go to church so my dad could get christened to a Ratana. Next we went to Silvia park, while I was walking I walked near the movies, luckily I had all my birthday money.
So I watched one movie. They called me and said" go to the lunch area" ok I said, as I was walking all my attention was caught on cute shoes and cool clothes.

A terrifid writing

How sad to see all those people who have died and people have lost loved ones and friends. They have just finished fixing all around Christchurch, and another earth quake came along came one more. I Hope it doesn't happen again or even more people will get hurt even more.
