Meeting George:

When these two boys finished school they went to the schools rugby field. Jeff and Josh realized that a old man kept coming to their practice and watched their every move.

They walked to the stand where the man was sitting and asked him “why are you always watching us?” the man says “I use to be a professional rugby player”  the two boys said “ what is your name?” the old man says “my name is George Nepia”.

George Nepia came down onto the field and says what skills do you know? ohhh we know kicks and passes and many more. George says, here this is the right way to kick the ball and how to pass properly. The two boys then said “we got to go were finished thanks for the help” “no worries".

A Swimming Topic.

Yesturday morning some of room 19 students went swimming while the rest of the class was doing a swimming sheet on how to be protected in the water if you swam out 10 metres and couldn't swim back otherwise you might die.

While we were sitting down Mr Harris said "get a partner to work with" then I choose Zion, we got a piece of paper and then we had to write down some answers to some questions like
What safety device is the person in this poster wearing?
How do you think he ended up in the water?
what do you think the answers are.

Do you like swimming? well I think its all right and its important to know what to do if you were in trouble like on a boat and many more.

Manaiakalani Movies

Yesterday afternoon we went to the movies to watch the Maniakalani Film Festival, at first we were waiting to arrive at Sylvia Park. We were escorted into our seats and then while we were waiting for the movies to start we were talking.

The lights went down and then Mr Dunn went on stage and then he asked the schools are you here, once he said "is Ptengland school here" and all of Ptengland school stood up and shouted. It was really loud.

When we watched most the movies they were enjoyable, I really had a good experience on watching them because some of those movies were about responsibility.

The movie I really enjoyed was room 18's movie because it was fun while they were taking the test, well done room 18 I loved the movie you guys created.

My Favourite Toy Narritive.

Once upon a time there was a group and they named themselves the teletubbies. The teletubbies always liked to go on different adventures every single day, they went to something they shouldn’t of......

They had names that sounded so cute but thats when kids are young not like now,
there was Tinky Winky, Dipsy, Lala and Po. Also after all these years the theme song has been somewhere in my head, it goes teletubbies   Tinky Winky, Dipsy, Lala and Po.

This whole story took place in lala land which had lots and lots of candy,
they went on a journey and on that journey they went looking for something and on there way they found candy and all four of them ate nearly all of it and they got what we call it sugar rush.

A magician came out of no where and asked the teletubbies if they knew where a circus creative show was being performed and they replyed “ yes” so the magician said “ here is four tickets and so they went and when they went they got front seats and then they called up to the stage and when they were hypnotized they turned into evil teletubbies.

That problem was solved when their parents came to visit and then snapped them back to normal because their dad knew everything because he loved magic.

The story ends when mom makes he famous cookies and chocolate milk for everyone.

Lightning Horror!!!

Do you like lightning? well I dont and I bet no one else does as well.
Lightning can be freaky even for adults because when my sister and my self were sitting at home and then my dad left to go and get dinner and while he was gone we were watching tv and then lightning hit and scared us like we were having a nightmare but it wasn’t that bad.


Then the power goes out for a little bit but then only the light comes back on, but the TV didn't and then the phone rings and then the tv comes on. then my sister feels scared and then  my sister suddenly answers the phone and its my nana calling to see if we were alright, after we hear a knock at the door. I walk up to the door hearing something go into the lock and then when it opens I ran and hid under the blanket, you wouldn’t guess who it was, it was my DAD!.

After all this and how we were both scared, we all relaxed in the lounge eating dinner and then we had hot cocoa and went to sleep, watching movies.

Stomach Churning............

One lovely afternoon it was my nephew's birthday, and he badly wanted to ride a roller coaster. So when we got there he ran to the roller coaster,
my sister shouts out get back here we're going to go on the little rides for the little kids because they wanted to go on a ride but before we could get on the rides we needed tickets.

When we got the tickets we took my niece and my other nephew on some rides and then me and Jackson  were waiting and then when they came out we went running to the awesome rides. While we were waiting he couldn’t be patient and then he started to yell and then my sister had to shout out “wait”, then he did.
Finally we were aloud on and then we got to go on the ride and while we were starting, it goes really fast and exciting. Then all I saw was everything spinning around and then I vomited. Jackson said “can we go on again” but I didn’t feel like it because I didn’t want to feel sick.

But by the end of the night we were feeling tired and sick and also exhausted.

When we had a game of touch yesterday a group of us were versing another team and then there was an accident. Man we were all having a wonderful time with eachother and then when it came to one of the sport events we went to play touch. When we split our teams into groups our first team went on and it was all the good people until we were told don't put all your good players in just one team because thats just not right.Then when we started to play this girl comes running past us screaming like she was being chased and then when the opposite team tripped her over by accident, she went rolling down the hill.

My Writing About Grief!

Have you ever had someone in your life that has just passed away?  I asked my mum what was she like? and my answer was amazing because she always wanted to look after me.
When my nana first saw me she knew I was her favourite grandchild she had,  and then she took me every time I had finished school  she wanted to look after me even when I was sick.
She spoiled me with lots of treats and fizzy and when my dad found out he would be made because she gave me fruit lollies creamed doughnuts and other things.


The only thing I loved about her was when she took me everyday and every weekend it was like she raised me as her own. Also when I stayed over her house my cousin would want me to sleep with her and when I went in her room she had a hammock on the ceiling with toys in it, I would always ask for one and then I had all of them. Then when I had all the toys on the bed I wanted to sleep with my nana and I wouldn’t sleep till I got what I wanted.


When we went traveling she wanted something from me and so I said  “yes and asked her what was it” she said “when you go to Samoa can you buy me a necklace” “sure thing” my mum said, “NO  I want it from her”. My dad gave me twenty dollars and I changed it to Samoa’s money, and when I ran to the market I bought one necklace and one bracelet.



When she died we suddenly got a call from my uncle telling me what had happened and then I told my parents what happened and then we just packed our bags and paid for the room and went to the airport waiting for our plane to arrive. Then for 17 hours for us to get back to New Zealand.
When we went to the marae she was already there and then they took her lid off and I was the first one to see her and then I put her necklace on her and everyone else started to cry.


Now to this day she was my favourite person in my life.

The Worst Thing I Ever Did!

On Friday the 17th of August was Pt England Schools cross country. We all gathered together to do chants and watch all the little kids go first.

First we cheered for our houses like Matatua or Te Arawa and Tainui also Takitimu. Those are all the houses people compete for and also we all wanted our house to win. Finally we get back to where we started. My legs were aching and everything was sore automatically I fell straight to the ground and then I was told at least I had finished it.

My legs were covered in mud and my shoes were ruined and after I had to chuck them away but when I had told my parents what we did and how long it took and they said “hurry up we're going to see her aunty” as I walk away I say “don't you want to know what happened”.

Do you really know what makes an awesome athlete? I think athletes who practice will succeed in what they try to achieve. Some people say some athletes are just born that way or others same its a combination like being born that way and practicing to succeed.

Being a athlete must be really cool because they get to travel all over France, isn’t that fun? sometimes I wish I could be an athlete. Being someone who represents our country people all over New Zealand.

I think it’s awesome to compete in the Olympics because it is a big part where all the countries get to take part in the Olympics.

When Is The Right Time To Swear?

Room 19 at Ptengland school have been reading about Swearing.
Did you know that a little city outside of Boston has banned swearing.  
Boston is just outside of the U.S. They had wrote in an article saying that if you swear in public you will get a fine that will cost $20 U.S dollars.





My interesting story is about when to swear and is it the
right time to talk but with the right language.
People say that everytime is the right time and other people say that it is never the right time to swear.


SWEARING!!!! we all know that is not good so why do we do it?,
swearing is not really a good thing to do especially in front of little kids
but when we do it in front of little kids it's not good influence and elderly
because they will just yell at you like (don't use that kind of language).
It is mostly up to you  to decide but if you wanted guidance then
I would say that you shouldn't really be using that kind of language.


Most people say that swearing is ok because they think its ok for when they are having a argument,
what do you think? do you think it is ok to say whenever you want to swear?.
Swearing isn't allowed in churches and in the cemetery, swearing is like bad influence.


What do you think of swearing? do you like it? don't you like it?.
Swearing many people like the language and many more don't like the language.
To be honest I may do sometimes but not most times, like a visitor came to our school
and told us how she got picked on but if she didn't start reading she wouldn't have
been smart and used her words.


I think that swearing can be offensive to some people you may choose to say it too, people that love their culture can say that it is in the bible and swearing isn't aloud and should be fined to whoever chooses to say it.
So that raps up my whole story about what I think of swearing.


People normally say that slang means it’s another name for swearing, but it actually another name for a country.

A plane powered just by the sun's rays has flown from Switzerland to Morocco.
It's the first time a plane has been able to fly across continents without using any fuel.
The flying machine's wings are covered in solar panels which turn the sun's rays into electricity to power the plane's propellers.
The plane's engineers are hoping that by 2014 they'll be able to use it to fly all the way around the world.
The first place were all this took place was in Netherland.
Wouldn’t that be fun to be on a plane but it would be scary too.

Going up north to Kaieo.

Last Friday at 12.30 in the afternoon we all started packing, and then we left.
On our way going there we were all getting comfortable because it was going to be a long trip, so I sat in the back so I could have a sleep because I was so tired it wasn’t funny.

We were nearly there when we all felt hungry, so my dad parked somewhere that we could buy something to eat. All I wanted was chicken and some chips, my mum got them fish and chips and I had chicken and chips. We had a quick feed and the we started to keep going.

We got there at 6 o’clock and my grandad was just started to do a phorfity and then we were welcomed onto the marae, We all started making our beds up and I slept in the middle of my cousin Anzac and my other cousin Shantel. We all had a really good night because we were all making each other laugh and then we got in trouble.

The next morning we were up real early and we had breakfast and the we all had to get changed for my grandmother and grandfather's unvaling, my cousins and uncles did a haka and a waiata. Then when we walked back to the marae me and my cousin Anzac were fighting over our little cousin Jack and the Anzac got angry at me and then he bumped me but then I thought for a second, “do you want to go to Anzac” he said “yes” we took little Jack to Anzac and then he was happy.

At the end of the day I felt happy hanging out with all my family and also I felt sad leaving.

Tamaki Tech.

Have you done tech before? well Pt England school has been doing it for two years, last year we started with wood, and I made a truck. Then we moved onto Graphics and it was all about art and drawings and we made all these cards and we got a big folder to put it in. Electronics was about electric things and lights. We had our last movement for the last term and we did all sorts of experiments.

This year I think it is much better because we have different groups, one yr 7 and the other yr 8.
Our group started with cooking and we learnt many things like folding and mixing and other things. Then we moved on to Japanese and made stars and a helmet.

I really liked this years tech group then last year.

A Story.

Waiting for my father to come back to our village, because he has been gone for hours. Finally he has arrived and as I go running up to him I give him a huge hug.

There is a story about something that has been missing for a very long time, wow look at that massive thing my teacher started saying it is a plane. All these visitors came walking out of the plane and started taking photos of the areas we lived in, after they all started asking questions
about how long have you been living here? where did you come from? do you want to move somewhere else.

The explorers started taking pictures of everything and as they were doing their thing the others who were doing nothing, wanted to talk to us about where they came from and why they came here. We didn’t know but the visitors were archaeologist and they found the famous musical instrument flute, then as they were coming towards us they shouted we got big news, they showed us the instrument that when missing 43,000 million years ago.

They started saying they were going to take the flute back to their country and as they tried to get away my father did not like it not at all, he went to go and grab it off the tourist and their husbands came off and tried to kill my dad

Vincent Van Gogh

Do you know this famous artist?  
well have you heard of  this artist who’s name is Vincent Van Gogh, he was born in 1885 and he was raised in groot zundert holland. His mother’s name was Anna Cornelia Carbentus. He had two sisters and two brothers, their names were Elisabeth, Anna, Cor and Theo. and died  in 1880

In his early life they had no interest in art or even artists, In 1870, after completing a sketchy array of education, Van Gogh was employed by the Hague gallery. Also they were run by french art dealers but did you know  that he was only at the age of sixteen. Vincent and his brother Theo were working miners but they didn’t work there for that long.

Johanna Gesina Van Gogh was the first wife that Theo had married and also she was the first to publish the letters that Vincent wrote to Theo after his death. Theo died in 1891 and his mother  died in 1907 and Theodorus died in 1885 also their best friend died in 1909, the friend had died two years after the mother but it doesn’t mention the sisters or  even the real artist Vincent. Vincents widowed cousin who he fell in love with in the summer of 1881 in Etten. Still grieving about her loss of her husband Cornelia rejected  Vincent and returned to amsterdam.
It looks that he must have loved drawing and paintings.

Breakfast- Which One Is For Me?

Do you have a favourite choice for breakfast? Bacon and eggs, McDonald's, fruit, cereal or taro

My favourite choice for breakfast would have to be taro with fried chicken and potato salad and my mum’s chop suey because every time I eat something that reminds me of Samoa I always think im in Samoa.

McDonalds would have to be my second choice for breakfast because, sometimes on Thursday my dad and my mum and myself would go to McDonald for breakfast. Even though it is unhealthy.

Sometimes I will normally eat a piece of fruit because I would not be hungry and they would force me to eat, so I would have the smallest piece of fruit. It will depend what kind of fruit I would have.

I would probably have nutrigrains for cereal in the morning, because nutrigrains is my favorite cereal to have in the morning.

Being At Camp.

WOW! The first day of camp was very fun because we did all sorts of activity's like one of them were the Amazing Race, we were all waiting for everyone to line up(and man it took for a long time).

Later on that night we all watched a movie, at first we had to decide which class we were going to lay down in. First my friends and I went into room 19 but then Zion and myself choose to go into room 22 to watch the movie. MAN if I had known that the movie was going to be the same I would have stayed in my class room.

Did you know that this movie we were going to watch would inspire you if you watched it, when it had started we didn't know what the movie was till it said "Gifted Hands" and the movie took 2 hours and 30 minutes. Finally we can go to bed but before we go to sleep we have to go and brush our teeth.

The next morning I woke up to early and still I felt tired so I went back to sleep and then the next time when I had woken up we were all up and the when we were wanting to get out of our tent we were told to go back in and rest even more, then Mrs Nua shouted out something then we all crawl out of a tent and run on the field.

Monday and Tuesday was a very fun and exciting day and I can't wait till tomorrow to go to Swimmarama.

Going To Camp Soon.

AWESOME!! We are nearly there, well i'm talking about going to camp next week on Monday.

Waiting so patiently to go away for three days but it is actually at school but that is cool anyways, because we get to hang out with our friends. We might just have to hang out with one friend.

Once I can get out of the house it will be wicked, so excited can't wait till Monday cause there will be lots of activities and on the last day of camp the year 7&8's will go to Swimmarama.

Duffy Theatre.

At first when we were going to see Duffy theater it actually looked odd, because the big cardboard that looked like a letter.

They started off with introducing them shelves, then they sang a few songs one of them we all knew.

Then Navel the person who came out of the book, then she started saying she was the best book in the world.

Duffy and his brother Scruffy was looking through the garage sale they had. Then all of a sudden Duffy found a great book he really wanted to read, then they did a song from LMFAO party rock but they changed the lyrics. Hope they come back to Pt England school again.

Being Cyber Smart.

For the first term to the end of the year I am learning about Cyber smart. I had an idea about how we were about to start working, I wrote this in my book.........

1. Who am I connected to? I am connected to my grandmother because we have got an awesome relationship.

2. What am I sharing with others? I am sharing my graphic skills as well as my books and pens also some pencils as well.

3. What impression of myself am I giving to others? I am giving a positive impression to others.

My Fun And Enjoyable Time At Net Ball.

Net Ball....

MAN , when I first heard we were going to net ball for the first time this year I wasn’t that happy!

Liz (our coach) showed us some drills. Then Liz asked 3 people if they could do something for her, one of the boys handed out some bibs. She told us to stand on crosses or on dots.

After all the drills, Liz separated all of room 19 up into groups. Also she separated the court up too. Then she walked to all of the groups and told them what we were all doing. Liz told us the instructions and the how we had to play the game, and the name of the game was called for corners.

At the end of our lesson I was a little tired, but at the same time I actually had lots of fun.

My Health + Me

This Term, in maths,we are learning about statistics. As part of our learning we are examining

data related to our health. The first part of our examination we collected data (information)

about the food we ate for a week. (02/02/12- 09/02/12)

How Much The Treaty Means To Me.

The Treaty is important because if they didn't sign it, what we have today we wouldn’t have got all this technical things we have for our learning.The Treaty to me is very important otherwise the French people would have taken over New Zealand.

The Journey Through My Holiday.

During my holiday's it was very interesting, because my sister asked my cousin and her friend and also myself if we would like to stay at her house. We all said "yeah we will stay for a couple nights. My sister Daphne asked us if we wanted to play a little game named last card torture. It was quite funny because we all got out except for Kathleen my cousin, she was the one to get tortured. I actually felt sorry for her because she was crying and then she started screaming.
